The crew has been busy making even more Harbor Hemp Hand Sanitizer for our community’s first responders and health care professionals. This week we dropped off Hand Sanitizer donations to local first responders in Glastonbury, Tolland and Vernon as well as the Connecticut State Police. And we also sent a shipment up to Boston Children’s Hospital!

We are so honored to be able to help protect those battling COVID-19 on the front lines. Thank you for all that you do!

Harbor Hemp is excited to announce a new partnership with Team Wheels a fundraising initiative by Petey Wheels, aka Pete Mayer. After losing his younger brother, Nick, to suicide in 2019, Petey Wheels is on a mission to raise awareness and funds to bring attention to the mental health issues impacting today’s youth and support suicide prevention initiatives.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Petey Wheels is using his quarantine time to train for an epic bike journey that will take him from Boca Raton to the Florida Keys in just 24 hours. Every step of his training will be documented, inspiring others to stay both mentally and physically fit during these unprecedented times. All proceeds from the Team Wheels fundraiser will be donated to the Jordan Porco Foundation & the Nick Mayer Memorial Fund of the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.

Some more good news!

Our production team is working hard to make more Harbor Hemp Hand Sanitizer so that we can keep helping those battling COVID-19 on the front lines.

This week’s donation went to the Respiratory Therapy Department at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Dozens of bottles of Harbor Hemp Hand Sanitizer were sent to these amazing healthcare professionals to help protect them as they provide care for those that need it most. We are so grateful for all that they do!

Today, the Harbor Hemp crew met up with public safety officials in our hometown of Coventry, CT to donate Harbor Hemp Hand Sanitizer to the town’s Police, Fire, Ambulance and Town Hall employees. Donated products included both large gallon containers for on-site use as well as smaller packaging for first-responders who are on the go.

“Harbor Hemp’s home is Coventry, and we wanted to manufacture hand sanitizer for our important first-responders here as well as beyond,” said Glen Boggini, co-founder of Harbor Hemp Company. “We think that it’s important to keep them safe while they are out on the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis.

“We are grateful for this generous donation by Harbor Hemp Company, to help protect our public safety, emergency response and essential Town government staff,” said John A. Elsesser, Town Manager. “With supplies getting more difficult to obtain, this is a timely donation that may very well save lives.” 

The donation was part of Harbor Hemp’s continued commitment to helping our community during these unprecedented times. The New England PGA and Harbor Hemp Company have teamed up to make Harbor Hemp the exclusive CBD Partner of the NEPGA, both parties announced today.

Harbor Hemp, based in Coventry, Connecticut, first debuted to the New England golf market at the 2019 Connecticut Golf Show, and will return to the show later this month. 

“CBD is a relatively new space for golf,” NEPGA Executive Director Mike Higgins said. “The New England PGA is excited to partner with a local company that has high quality products, and that is excited to support our NEPGA Professionals and their members.”

Harbor Hemp will serve as the Presenting Partner of the NEPGA Pro-Pro Stroke Play Championship, a one-day, 36-hole Championship that will return to The Haven Country Club on July 20.
